Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains your rights regarding cancellation and refunds when purchasing Aurum subscriptions. It complies with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

1. Cooling-Off Period (ECTA Section 44)

If you purchased your Aurum subscription online, you have the right to cancel within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase, without giving any reason. This is your statutory right under ECTA.

2. Direct Marketing Cooling-Off (CPA Section 16)

If you signed up as a result of direct marketing (e.g. a sales call or promotional email), you may cancel within 5 business days of the transaction for a full refund.

Under the Consumer Protection Act, you are entitled to a remedy if the service is materially defective within 6 months of purchase. Remedies include:

Note: The Consumer Protection Act (CPA) does not apply to transactions between juristic persons (companies) where the purchasing company's annual turnover or asset value exceeds R2,000,000. B2B contracts are governed by the terms agreed in the service agreement.
